Client losted their 17 year grandson to suicide. He lived in West Virginia made to feel like a freak because he was gay.

This is the 2nd time in this thread I have hesitated to reply, but here goes.
I'll start off by saying I know nothing about this young mans situation.
What I've seen in the last decade or so is LBGT group had in the past kept to them self, not forcing or bragging about their lifestyles, then it seems that they started getting pushy and wanting everyone to make note of their agenda.
I guess that means Coming Out. Well over the years I guess I knew a couple of these people but it was live and let live.
Now they need to be up in your face, notice my difference, give me a parade so I can show off myself.
Not my way of seeing things.
The last straw around here was a high school boy who wanted to use the girls shower room, you talk about a firestorm. At least the school dist didn't allow that to happen.
Now some eastern state has allowed people of whatever sex to use the restroom of whatever gender they think they are, REALLY!!!
How bad will it get before all this crap changes back to what I'd like it to be?

If we can agree that "live and let live" is a good thing:

Having nearly 30% attempting to end their lives is a bad thing.

Having 8% of all high school students attempting to end their lives is a bad thing.

That 8% number is fairly consistent 1991 to 2013 (link).
