See, it isn't just those dang'd southerners who like to make trouble. @ninnymary enjoys taunting the rest of us from time to time as well.

Mary, I want you to know that when California sinks into the Pacific, you can come here and live with us in the land of cold, snow, ice, and where the temperature and the humidity can both reach 100.
I wish I could complain about the summer heat and humidity, and the winter cold, snow, and ice. ;)

Ridgerunner:

In numerical analysis the trapezoidal rule (also known as the trapezoid rule or trapezium rule) is a technique for approximating definite integral

The trapezoidal rule works by approximating the region under the graph of the function

as a trapezoid and calculating its area. It follows that

I flunked basic algebra twice !

Ya'll are making me feel better about my math abilities. Basically, I know I would have flunked HS algebra if the teacher, Mr. Fluck, hadn't been good friends with my father. I would have flunked college algebra as well if not for the guy I was dating at the time. He "made" me go to collage and then taught me algebra (after school every night) well enough that I got a B+ in the class.

Gotta keep a guy like that, right? That's the one I've been with for the past 46 years!
