I didn't realize they both looks so much a like.

Mary

They're both bays. You're in good company, many times when I'm walking Syringa around and a neighbor driving by stops to say hi, they will do a double take and be surprised that it's not Luke. His coat is darker, hers has more red.

I was just thinking how different they are.

Me too Luke has more refined chiseled head, Syringa has much larger chunkier head But I know nothing about horses

They are different conformationally.
Luke is taller and more lean, Syringa is shorter and built sturdy.
Lukes head is long and narrow, Syringas is more blocky, with a square muzzle.
It's not any bigger than Lukes, in fact her head is shorter, she wears a smaller halter and headstall. She was closer to the phone so the picture is a little distorted.

Kids aren't the only ones who like to romp in the snow.

The neighbors have an arena that they have told me to please use whenever I want. Until a few weeks ago I hadn't taken advantage of their offer, but finally decided it would be good to work Syringa in a new place and also let her stretch her legs and move out.

This was her meeting their horses.

They all charged around excitedly for a few minutes.

She has a nice floaty trot :).

We also got a little work in while we were there. She's coming along well, and I love how her focus is developing. She has come so far from the defensive reactive girl she was back in July.

She just can't resist a stop drop and roll in the snow when I first take her out of her corral. I love the look on her face here.
