Ok, DD gets downsized and moves out of her apartment end of May, which was in a town about one hour away. We help pack and make numerous trips ahead of time, and a few days before the deadline her very nice neighbor offers help and...kittens. She had let in a pregnant cat in April, who had her first litter of 3 boys. She wants to keep the "pretty" one, so we take the grey one, the black one and the mother. Unbeknownst to us then, she had let the mother come and go, and she came back to her apartment about mid-May carrying litter #2.
We knew that we were feeding the cats well, but the mother cat was getting fatter than the fare would have made her. Yesterday morning--NOT to our surprise--she had litter#2. Counting our 11 yo female cat, "Favorite"

Mamma cat is getting fixed right after her next heat. She's trapped on the front porch, and nobody will let her out until it's past.
...um..........................................................Anybody want a kitten?

DUCKS, I live close enough to be tempted, but.... DH's dog lives in the house and his breed is know to be cat killers. So sad because I am really wanting a kitten/cat again. Just not a good Idea at all. They sure are cute, and look at Momma's ears !!! :D Good luck finding the good homes.

looks like she might have some abyssian blood in her. beautiful lady though! i'd love to come and get one or two. especially one of those pretty gray kitties. though i love my black and white cats. i lost my b&w 17 yo lady last September and i have a nearly 2yo b&w boy that i've had since he was 8 weeks old and gets along with my corgi like they were brothers! i've always had luck with them having great personalities.

You can have her spayed before she goes into another heat. We have a cat who had one kitten that was stillborn. Three days later, she was spayed. I don't know what the time frame would be for a nursing momma kitty, though.
