I know its late, but its shaping up to be a possible indian summer for us here, and I needed to take up some room next to the single row of late lettuce I just planted. I cant wait to see what happens :)

Hey Sparkles i'm glad you mentioned the indian summer, do you think its because of the el nino?
Their is suppose to be above average temperatures well into fall this year for the northeast and other parts of the country.....:ya At least we'll have more time to get the fall crops in :) .

I sowed some inside and I sowed some outside last month. Half of the ones I put outside are actually growing pretty well, but they're being eaten by something. So I have to spray them.

I sowed broccoli outside at the same time and over half of them are growing pretty well. I have to spray those as well.

I'm going to transplant the ones I started inside in a few weeks.

As to the cold weather, you can cover them with row covers when it starts to get cold? See how that works where you are.

Good luck, I've had plans for a lot of things, I've only managed to get in lettuce and carrots this week.... which is good.... I think they are on time for our zone. My first fall planting, so we'll see. :/

Well the Cauliflower and the lettuce I planted with it both came up on Saturday, and the weather man just gave us a 2-week forecast of warm temps.

Minn, with its Continental weather may not afford enough time. When it hits, the Arctic Steamroller will be merciless. I believe that cauliflower is a 90 plant, right?

But you can eat the plant whether it heads or not, so why not?
