"Tinnitus" ringing in the ear...nothing like it 7/24

Right there with you, Major'.

You might want to know this - for a good 5 years, the tinnitus would only show up when I took the hearing aids out. "Real world" sounds would mask the tinnitus.

Try not to let it bother you too much. It's all an illusion. All of it, from sea to shining sea ... from here to infinity. All an illusion. Take comfort in that.

I have a friend with Tinnitus I don't know how she stays so cheerful. I've had a ringing/buzzing sound in my ears a couple of times but only for minutes at a time, to have it constantly, I don't know you how you manage, it would drive me crazy.

@Nyboy , just a few years later I had a Brownie Pack and hubby was the Cub Master until we moved . Ya think I might have a split personality.

@aftermidnight Why, can only bada__'s enjoy cycles? A lot of good reasons to ride. Worst problem with cycles are motorists that kill them by not considering them.

@digitS' Friend tested farmers for hearing losses at farm shows, 90% are legally deaf. Grinding feed has the same effect as standing beside a jet engine.

I hate kids who pull beside me and their woofers make my whole truck literally shake.

You know that some cyclists are sitting on 1,000cc.

They take off with the green light and it's just a hum.

I crossed paths with an old pickup the other day. Rattletrap and it must have had a hole in the muffler the size of a cantaloupe. I could almost forgive him but most of the exhaust noice is from newer vehicles and some of it is at wretched decibels. They're the "kill your enemy and eat them" crowd ... Their mommas didn't paddle them hard enuf, no other excuse.

Living in Shelton my BF's place was once on a nice quiet in town side street
now it is drug filled leave anything out it's gone... we moved to a very small town
now outside noise to speak of people still do not lock their doors here speed limit is 20
not just at the school we are the only home on our rode we like it
