Not only do I live near Warsaw, I married a poll! Still don't like parogi's or however you spell them!
Our son married into a Polish family. Every year they go 'back home' to the old neighborhood in Chicago for a reunion of neighbors. They bring home lots of Polish food. I just finished off the sausage they sent -- made potato and sausage soup. Yum! They also brought potato parogis and (unknown) meat parogis. We tried them, but they are not something we'd ever choose to eat. My chickens, however, must be a Polish breed because they loved them.
