How do you use dehydrated peppers?

You can rehydrate them with boiling water and use them like you normally would. In soups or casseroles you wouldn't have to rehydrate them since there is plenty of broth. Also use them as crunchy toppings on a salad or potato. I find they keep better than freezing them.

if you want to keep a regular pepper in the freezer i roast them first, then pack them in small jars (put lids on and then into the freezer they go). some people peel them after roasting to get the surface skin off them, i don't bother, a little extra fiber and chewyness just makes it last longer down the hatch. :)

they keep for a year or two without any problems (if you use a normal sized canning jar pint or cup size you can warm the lid up in warm water and then screw the jar shut tight enough to get a decent seal). it is not sterile but the freezer does what it is supposed to things are fine.

So, planting F2 seeds would be a waste of time? I had thought about saving seeds from my first 2 peppers, even though they are hot.
