Can horses be trained to come when their names called?

They know their names. They usually come with a call, a whistle, or clicking their feed bucket. That's is why I think they are psychic. They usually come running because with a horse it is always feeding time. When I walk through their pasture they follow me like dogs. They knew I wanted to ride. I waited until dark and there they were standing they waiting to go in the barn for dinner.

Of course that would have worked! The trek to get back to get it was just too hard in the deep snow. When will I learn?
