I kept watering it... and it is still here but no fruit... I just would feel too bad to pull it after its worked so hard ... lol

Soooo now I am a crazy plant lady... greeting my eggplant every day as I come home and giving it a pep talk... so now it has flowers...
I have a name for that... I call it "The Charlie Brown Syndrome." :) I suffer from it as well. I'm the guy who drives by the Christmas tree lots on the day after Christmas and feels sorry for the trees that didn't get picked.

Best thoughts to you and your little eggplant.
OldGuy, you and my youngest daughter! We had many years that she pouted and went to sit in the car when it was time to cut our Christmas trees. She always wanted to get the scragliest one because, "no one else will want it" and she felt sorry for it!

Keep on talking to that eggplant! If it helps, that's great and worse case, you'll keep all of your unwanted neighbors away from the crazy lady that talks to the plants!

I planted eggplant for the sole purpose of attracting flea beetles. They do a wonderful job of it. Now, that the beetles are gone- the eggplant are producing! Had some for dinner earlier in the season, and two on the counter for tomorrow....Good luck to your brave little eggplant!
