Just some more baby pics: Weighed the kits at 10 weeks, Thurston is 5.5#, Lovey is 6#.
Lovey is also not so lovey anymore, she bit me when I was mixing her food the other day, actually it was more like she grabbed the back of my finger and threw my hand out of her feeder. Greedy girl struck at me last nite, again it involved her feeder.

O well... at least Thurston lets me love on him. Sweet boy climbs right out into my arms. His coloring is still changing but I think he is the most handsome bun ever! (Mama ain't got no favorite here...

I still need to get my cooked compost spread on the veggie patch, DH has been very busy doing my fall chores as well as his own this year. Busy raking up every leaf in the yard and leaving none to cover any of the beds!:rant Could be a long cold winter for my pretties but our yard sure looks nice!

Are your rabbits Siamese Satins? I raised them years ago, was first in Texas and in 5th place in the nation, for showing. I had black, white, chinchilla, red and Siamese Satins. I loved the Siamese the best.

Even tho I have raised rabbits off and on most my life it has only been the last year or two that I have gotten into the different breeds and colors. The mix in my rabbits is New Zealand Broken/Silver Fox/Flemish Giant. The new ones are harvest weight at 9/10 weeks and that is great as it cuts down on another two weeks of feed as my original litters were not ready until 12 weeks.
Now that I see their color I want to develope my herd to keep that. I even joined a rabbit color/genetics group on fb a few weeks ago... had genetics in college years ago, O Boy, am I rusty. It will be fun to see what happens!
(Edit- forgot I had pics attached, these are the new kits aunts: Shydoe n Clawdya. They are NZBroken/Flemish Giant.)

Hey @Nyboy, we spoke earlier this year about Harvey having fur mites and you said you treated him. I was trying to remember what with and how it worked. My Fur'Nando has them back and this is all out war, especially in these temps! (below freezing for several days, freezing nights with 40* days coming week) It is going to be a nightmare treating his hutch and him both with this weather. Belive I need to do all, it looks like it may have creeped into my Sr. does hutch too.
Any suggestions are HUGELY appreciated from the bunny growers out there.
