Does anyone know of some herbal something-or-other that will make me feel better? Head congestion, body aches, low-grade fever. Started Sunday evening.....

I wish I had the patience to homeschool - my kids bring home SO much crap...er...stuff...

the best thing you can do ..and since I am still recovering I can honestly say ...

drink plenty of hot and sour liquids ..soups tea ect ...and rest rest rest ..sleep if and when you can and just give yourself some time

this sucked! and I am so sorry you are sick

really we do not stop and allow for sick time in life and this whole idea of "pushing through it " well that does not work ..your body needs rest fluids and a break so give yourself that
one thing I did that helped me feel better was a hot shower then bundle up with tea or soup and force a sweat ...it is like a home sauna and did help with the aches pains and congestion ..a lot!

I so empathize..I have not been sick like this for years and years and it hit me like a ton of bricks..

home schooling is only a temporary fix! eventually they go out in the world and bring it home anyway

feel better OOOXXX but rest!!!! people kept telling me that and really when I did finally listen I got better!

Thank you, that is wonderful advice. Unfortunately rest is not something that happens here much. I have a VERY active, into-everything 2 yr old that is 110% boy. Needless to say I spend a great deal of time chasing him down....lol. Yesterday when I was out getting stuff to mail off to Joe and Ron I actually felt a little better. Perhaps I am just sick of being in the house....lol.

I have decided I must have an herb garden - something beyond cooking herbs. this way when I or my family are sick I can make something to help everyone feel better. I had the opportunity to plant yarrow but didn't even know what it was. Now I regret not getting it in the ground....

Sorry your feeling bad. I have been sick since the weekend as well. I rested and took some vicadin. It kind of helped me keep moving so I can ignore the pain and deal with the kids...

I had the crud for about 4 weeks. I finally started to feel better and now it is back. ACK!!!

Peppermint tea is something that really helps the sinuses. I just wish I could keep the guys out of my stash. I buy it so I have it when I get sick and they usually manage to drink it all right before I get a cold.

Rose hips in tea, very high in vitamin C. I think they taste really good too. I mix 'em w/ chamomile and oatstraw for a relaxing tea.

Rose hips, huh? I'm afraid I would be too worried trying to save the seeds than to use them for something other than growing another plant. Why would I want to do something so trivial as getting well when I could GROW something ;) j/k
