Sun came out about 4 yesterday melted all snow :weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:weee:rolleyes:
WHAT? We got about 18 inches. Sunny and beautiful today. Snow blower worked well. Anyone that owns one knows they usually break in the middle of a blizzard. Warm, sunny and beginning to melt. My daughter is still without power. She rented a space to go and work. I have 3 boys and a puppy today. Behaving well and the dogs are getting along.

this was me yesterday. snow thrower/blower wouldn't throw snow. :rant i'm the one that does most of the snow clearing. had to shovel 12" yesterday & this morning what got done at the end of the driveway was pushed in front of my car. had at least 2' blocking it in! had to call in & let work know i was going to be an hour late this morning.

asked DH to help by taking care of snow behind his car. his idea to get the car out last minute was to create tracks behind his car & floor it till it got out of the driveway. :somad left the snow for me to take care of.

was warm enough today to melt some of the thin layer still left from this morning so pavement is mostly clear where i worked on most of it.

wish we could help, we both love shoveling snow... used to shovel neighbor's sidewalks and porch for her even if it is 1/4 mile walk to get there. rest of neighbor's have plows/snowblowers and are also further away. the one neighbor is gone :( we miss her tons...

I bet @Carol Dee and the school bus drivers breathe a sigh of relief when they can get through the first week of daylight savings without bad weather.

If'n I followed the forecast map right, our last (rain)storm will reach Iowa on Friday night, Saturday morning. "Wintery mix," the weather service says. Waiting for the school bus in the dark, on icy asphalt, with sleet blowing sideways when you are 8 ...

Ya know, the experience was just part of growing up when I was a kid - but, there was no DST when I was 8. I see lots of parent transport in recent years. I can remember how very seldom Mom would drive me nearly a mile to my bus stop.

Thanks for thinking of me @digitS' Yes, thrilled the worst weather missed us. Now we are back to picking up those kids at daybreak. Kind of dark yet for my 1st stops. But getting lighter everyday. i love spring. You should have been a meteorologist! Yep supposed to see WEATHER Friday night into Saturday. The worst just south of us. :fl

We weren't too bad off with power loss as man inn our area were. May neighbors on a private road just got their power yesterday-a week without power.. I see 3 giant trucks go to work on their lines. Only 3 houses there so they had to wait the longest. We saw the power company driving around with small vehicles with some sort of antennae like tool on the top of the cars. It seemed like they could tell who was out by just driving by.. A 4th nor'easter in the making for next week. I have never seen this before.
