I got the idea from http://www.skippysstuff.com/biofiltr.htm
My pond isn't very big so I changed a few things.

And I still have a lot of work to do, but this is what I've done so far -

It started out like this.

It's part of a bigger flower bed.

The other side.

First step - dig a really big hole.

Trying to level it - it's still not level :p

Collected supplies for the waterfall. I ended up using a black plastic milk crate, that's not in the pic.

Plumbing.

Setting up.

Filling the pond.

Yay! It's working!

Now I still need to get more rocks, fill in more dirt around the pond and plant some flowers around the pond.

That was seriously a LOT of work. I'm so tired watching what you are doing, I'm going to take a nap instead of goto the garden today. LOL

:watering

That is a really awesome pond though! You should be so proud. I hope you post more pictures soon... but take a break if you need one. :pop

Ok, so this is what the pond looked like after I took it apart the second time.

But.......................I changed my mind and took it out again today. And rebuilt it. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Quick! Before I change my mind again!

Put the pond in, take the pond out, then we swirl it all about........

You're crazy, lady! But... I understand wanting to get it just right. Better to have a hokey-pokey pond for a while than to have to live with the thought of "I should have done xyz while I had the chance!"

I'm excited for pics!

I wish I could see the pictures. For some reason at work I am not able to view photos. Maybe that is a sign that I need to get to work. ha ha ha

Where did you get those panels around the raised garden?

I have the old model. I bought 3 of the new ones last year, but they are very flimsy compared to the old style.

Oh gosh... I mean... wow.... :ep

Maybe I should come help you with your pond and I won't have to go to the gym so much?! That is a workout my trainer couldn't even suggest!!!

I think its looking great, but of course you need to be happy with it. And you should have it exactly like you want and expect nothing less from yourself... so I understand. I am a perfectionist by nature. ;)
