I love to use the fence to layer my crops upon it. The base of the plants are at a comfortable growing distance. I just love how they intermingle by this time of the year. And yes there are some weeds. Pumpkins, luffa, and rumbo squash on the fence. My sweet potatoes are growing through the fence to create a living mulch along the fence.

You are a woman after my own heart, Cat. I love this "jungle" time of year! The back section of my garden is totally out of hand! I have pumpkins, sweet potatoes, cukes, watermelon, and a few tomato plants in that area. It is a sea of green. I can only tiptoe through there. It is not orderly or neat, the way it started out the season. I just love to see what designs mother nature has in mind!! I am anxiously awaiting your luffa harvest...

Luffa are funny up north. I start them in my greenhouse and put out a sizable seedling. They just now are starting to fruit. Fortunately they grow quickly and late into the cool weather or I would get none. I love homegrown luffa in the bath.

Luffa in the bath - so, there's no crocodiles in the water?

There must be monkeys in the trees - look out they'll grab your hat!

I'm pretty sure,

You've got that jungle look down, Cat.

hahaha! I was wondering what the heck is Luffa? Then the light went on when you mentioned the bath. That is cool! I would have never even thought of growing it. Your garden is looking great!

Thanks. It's not a garden to me if I'm not growing something challenging. It took me a long time to get it right with luffa.
