The jungle look

I love the overgrown jungle look! You just inspired me to where I want to grow our squash/gourds next year. I'm going to grow our peas along the front fence this fall and I'll grow the squash there in the spring. Leaves me more space in the garden!

Very nice Pumpkins you have there! I bet they'll look even better once they turn orange. Enjoy the jungle garden look, before you know it, Fall will be here ready to clean up the garden.
Keep us posted when they change color, I'm sure they will look great!

Just found a few large orange ones hiding in the growth-have to find someone to life them-bad back the last couple of weeks. Will photograph them for the bragging!

I think that it was pumpkins that addicted me to gardening at a very young age. I planted them at the family lake house where we spent our summers. A late fall visit to the lake revealed the pumpkins hidden in the overgrowth. A few seeds turned into a dozen or more pumpkins-such a thrill for a small child. I have planted them ever since. Pumpkins are a funny thing. Some years I get dozens and some just a few. They are so determined by the weather.

See, that is what I love about the "jungle"- full of surprises!!

I love it when a garden turns into a jungle. Sometimes when I go in, I tell a nearby person that if I don't return in three days to send in a search and rescue team. Some of the animals in the forest actually do sound like a Tarzan movie.
