the e-generation don't have a clue of true music.... nice song

yes i have a wide interest of music from the 60's to 80's........

rock on baby boomers..

same here, certain types of music don't appeal to me, but the oldies from Rush, Queen, Jethro Tull, Heart, Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, etc. work nicely for some days. then i have my classical/romantic/baroque music and sound tracks from movies that we like. i've edited all of the soundtracks for The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings to remove the parts that are rather rambunctious so Mom will listen to them. that's over six hours of music alone. i recently found Harry Potter music (almost spelled hairy pooter -- it's morning... :) ) and a Star Wars playlist that works. i'm always looking for music that we both like. i have to play the rowdy rock n roll when Mom's away. since she often likes music on when she's here the first several hours she's gone i may just listen to the birds and wind chimes. yesterday she went to play cards with a friend. it had been a while since she had been away so i just enjoyed silence/nature sounds.

The Milk Carton Kids she likes and some of the other mellower rock n roll or folk music. she calls them Those Milk Bottle Boys... lol

flashback to a long time ago, up north there was this bar/nightclub that had singers some evenings, this guy would start off by singing a medley of _you made me so very happy_ and _the age of aquarius_ and had a great voice for it, when i hear either of those songs it reminds me of those times. my sister was all gaga over that guy...
