Well, the whole back of the house is done as of 11pm! Sadly, too dark for photos so I'll get some tomorrow and just post the ones I have now with the done ones tomorrow.

I ended up having to plant 4 trees I had I thought were dead and was getting rid of... turns out they were getting leaves in a plastic bag so I quickly planted them. Then ran and got dinner ready... spinach salad and lemon butter grilled shrimp. Just finished doing dishes and stuffing eggs with candy to hide in the yard... so NOW I'm going to go die somewhere

Sorry I didn't post sooner... holiday was busy busy busy with the family.

Here is the last picture I got before they finished. It was 11 when they were done, so I didn't get a shot of it. Didn't get home until late today so still didn't get a chance.

Here's something to oooooooooh and ahhhhhhhhhhh at though.

Poor hubby had to spend HOURS just replacing all the sheathing and wood the termites destroyed. Luckily it was mostly just simple surface damage. Gosh, those bugs are aggressive little demons! Which reminds me, I have to call for a retreatment May 1st.

Looking good! We just got siding that's almost the same color, and it looks wonderful with the white trim. Our house is 150+ years old and in TERRIBLE condition, so it took nearly a month to have it put on by professionals! But it makes A WORLD of difference! :bun

Like I said, the WHOLE backside of the house is done. I got a photo but after several attempts I can't get it up on my server... it must be down tonight. So I had to post it on my blog for you to look at it.

I can't believe this house is 15 year old and falling apart like it is! I think we are the first to really love it.

wow you guys are doing a great job.. we have a brick home so no siding is needed there.. but I do want to paint the brick (I think it is ugly) so that will be a chore maybe in the fall.. spring is for planting and summer is for staying inside!

you mentioned that your a weakling on your blog.. well by the end of the year.. you will be STRONG!

Yeah, well if you saw everything I did last summer and fall I shouldn't be a weakling.... I just ate like a crazy person and stopped working out super hard come christmas! Mmmm... I got to flab after the holidays.

Anyways.... We've decided to go ahead and do the front porch starting today!!!!! We won't be able to get the ladders we need to do the second floor on the sides of the house for another week at least.

So on to the 'special' pop part of the house. I'm so thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are tearing off the front of the house today... little by little. We had to do a dump run already today. Won't get too far on this today. Tomorrow we will actually be wrapping and putting up the siding. I can't WAIT!!!!

The sides are going to be a HUGE issue though

However, I did manage to get one of my friend's husbands to come help here soon. He need to move the electrical box for us, and he's 7 ft tall.... so that should REALLY help on the second story work.

We've gotten to the front with a little work done on Saturday, and a little work on Sunday. Went to dinner at my brother's new house so we called it quits early.

We'll work on it more through the week or next weekend when its supposed to be sunny and 85!!!
