At the same latitude, what is straight across the water from the ocean beach where you are standing?

We must all be surprised at how far north, we will find the European nations. Daylight hours have dramatic swings. Weather depends also on those Atlantic Ocean conditions.

Something that's funny is if you live in either southern most Chile or Argentina, it would be best if you look favorably on the neighboring country :). But then again, we are all here together.

Boy, those ocean breezes must make a big difference in climates. Who'd a thought I live in the same latitude as Southern Spain? Or that Ireland is the same latitude as mid-Canada?
And when you look at the eastern side of Brazil, then the corresponding western side of Africa, you can see how they broke apart. Being interested in gemstones and minerals, I have often wondered what caused the plethora of gemstones that are found in Brazil and Africa. Did the breaking apart cause the gemstones, or did a different event cause both?
