never seen rowels as sharp as this. When the Rowel touches the horse three or four tip touch at the same time spreading the pressure. Softer touch that way.

If you're too heavy with the spur the horse will stop paying attention to the teacher/rider, just like being too heavy of the reins, the horse becomes use to the heavy .

We, the girls and I when to Big R and picked up Absorbine Liniment ,they've been making it for over 100 years, and they applied it last night, it seems to have helped. She rode today, rode no gallop.
