Thank you friend, I've held back on getting her a horse, that's what she thinks about all her days, she said today she's dreamed about being the girl who rides round the arena with the flag, since the first time she remembers being at a rodeo. So here she be, riding a bull, taught him to canter, walk, gallop, then I went down and watched her training the Kent horses, watched her work them and giving me all the whys and what for, of what she's doing and I saw she was ready.
We've been out every day driving, her helping the horse not to be spooked of cars, bit of paper blowing by, of mail boxes. We crossed HWY 95 today heading to Lake Lahontan, but it was so cold, I was ready to come back, so she just crossed the RR tracks and turned around, but the horse was able to cross the lines painted on the road, it's paved there, and cross the tracks twice.
Man it's cold out driving and I was in padded coveralls. We gathered some wood from a gully where she and I have been driving n I cut it up with a chopsaw, pecky ceder six X six fence posts, smells great in the stove and burns better than the Cotton Wood!
When parents wanted a puppy for their kids Christmas gift, I would not let them pick up till after the Holiday. I would tell them to get a book or dog statue, wrap that with note about live gift and put under tree.
She said today: "I'm so happy!" Why baby? "He's been my dream horse for so long, I use to walk out back and watch him in his corral."~ This is good for him too honey!
It is that much sweeter because she has waited so long for it. It's the real deal when her love or enthusiasm didn't diminish after all those years. This brings me sooooo much joy!
I agree with the @baymule! It certainly should be part of the chronicle by family . Apotheosis of dreams! It looks as if the first series of touching movie with a happy ending ended , but all waiting for the continuation.
