Beekissed, why do I think people won't be as excited to be in manure, as they would be to be a sprout? LOL! :D

OaklandCityFarmer, well, for variety you could call the cat, "Dog", and the dog, "Cat!" ;)

I've been thinking the same thing about, going to seed. I'm glad to hear that someone else had the same thoughts. :)

See, I'm not even creative enough to think of that. :barnie

Yeah, the going to see thing just doesn't sit well with me but who knows?

When I first posted my list of suggestions, my last one "Gone to Seed" seemed a logical progression that most plants take, then I couldn't resist definitely including it for laughs. I wasn't serious, and I should have added "ha, ha", or "just kidding" after it, since you guys don't know me and my sort of sadly sarcastic humor.

Lording horticultural knowledge over anyone is just plain rude! Never has been a point I've wanted to make, it's just that along the way, if both proper and common names are used, sooner or later some of it oozes in and you become more knowledgeable.

Overcome with chickweed is a great one! :throw
I agree with Reinbeau. I know very few proper names, but I think this forum would be a great opportunity for those (like me) that want to learn proper names!

Alright, I went on a little reconnoissance mission to BYC :D to see exactly what we're looking at, and this is what I found:

New Egg
Newly Hatched
Out Of The Brooder
Chillin' With My Peeps
Overrun With Chickens
Chicken Obsessed
Young BYC Addict
True BYC Addict
Flock Master
Queen Of The Flock

We've got some truly excellent ones, but I think we need to have 10. I'm still voting for, Knee Deep In Compost! lol! (Can you tell what my spring's been like?) ;)

One which seems to have a lot of possibilities to me is, Chillin' With My Peeps. What might be a good gardening equivalent for that one? Maybe it should have something to do with a hammock and a tall, cold lemonade/iced tea.... :coolsun

Who refers to tomatoes as Solanum lycopersicum?
Well, I for one, would like to have my member name changed to "Buff Allium oshaninii", but that's just me...

[just kidding]

Okay, alright, I'm leaving now.

Excellent suggestions and comments everyone!

BTW, I can setup a basic set of 5-6 and we can add more as the forum grows. No need to have it perfect / set in stone right now.

I trust the community, so you guys work out what you think is best, tell Tutter (who's done a FANTASTIC job putting this together) and let me know and I'll make the change ASAP!

OK here is my 1 1/2 cents (not smart enough for a full 2 cents, lol)

In the greenhouse
Seedling
Just Planted or Sprouted
Watching it grow
Finally Blooming
Pullin Weeds
Time for Harvest
Finished Canning
Cubbord is full
Turned back to seed

As you can see (also by my name) I am looking a little in the food direction!
