Last time I checked it seemed really expensive, but since you only have to apply it once or twice, and it won't hurt the beneficial insects, I think it is probably worth the money.
The moles are really bad here this year. My DH has fallen down on the job of setting traps, and I haven't had much luck digging them out like I used to, so they have really torn up our lawn.

I check on the price... it is expensive about $90.00 for 40oz of the stuff. With my huband being out of work since last Dec., that is not in our current budget! I suppose I can just keep digging them up... and feeding them to the chickens.

Or perhaps someone who has some would be willing to sell you a 1/4 bag?
So far, these haven't been a probelm for me.. Well, not directly. My lab is a grub hunter. I have no idea how she got started on this but she wanders all over the yard with her nose on the ground. Then suddenly she will stop, dig a little, and then walk off chewing something. I almost never find a grub when I dig around - but I DO have perfect little ankle breaking mini-ditches all over the place. :p

You can also plant 4 O'clock flowers. It is more of a next season solution, but the adult beetles LOVE the 4 o'clock but it is deadly poison to them, will kill them in just a couple of minutes.
