Well, okay, mostly it is because I am lazy and busy with other things, but another reason is that my garden is full of self-seeding poppies. I just don't have the heart to pull them sometimes, even when they are giving a vegetable some tough competition.

Wish mine were that pretty. Mine-pink! Mom's color, I'm not fond of it.

Current pictures?

Our season is just about the same :).

There are a few of those amongst the dahlias, a few more in the front yard, and many along the east fence line. When they showed up in the neighbor's yard on that side she said, "I'm so happy!" So ...

Yes, the photo was taken today. These are the first blooms. They are trying their best to crowd my onions and leeks, but I'm letting them stay.
We've had a few spread to parts of the yard where we mow, but I wish they would show up in the field. I suppose I could sprinkle seed up there....

I know of the perfect place for some of those seeds this fall.

Those are gorgeous! They definitely deserve a place in the garden. :)

Not a chance that I would pull those beauties! I try to appreciate most of mother natures ideas!

Aww...my grandmother used to grow those all the time. I remember helping her collect the seeds. Thanks Bucka for showing them to me.
