@digitS' thats a good one. Right now I have literally been mowing thousands of mushrooms across the entire pastures. All the tunnels are topped with all different types of them from tiny to extremely large. Well now I know where all those fairy rings come from in spring across the pastures. No trees around only pastures. It seems the moles are totally gone now but the Hyphae of these mushrooms specifically colonise mole latrines near nests, forming ectomycorrhizas with the roots of their host trees along the exterior of the pastures several hundred feet away .
This is a first of this type of phenomenon to appear in the pastures . Who wudda thought?
