My dog went missing today almost killing me off, the cat did the same a few days ago .
My neighbor's and even strangers started searching, the strangers already knew my boy, but god knows how .

Thanks goodness I have him home now. I swear I've aged twenty years today.

The cat hasn't let him out of his sight and they are both snuggled up together as I write.

A few nights ago we left a gate open. I let the dog in the back yard to do it's business and she disappeared. She typically gets to spend the night outside as long as the weather is good and there are no fireworks.

The next morning she was gone. We drove around searching. We walked around searching. Then late that afternoon when I stepped outside I saw a young girl walking the dog, trying to find out whose it was. The dog had shown up on her doorstep that morning. Since they had their own dogs inside they left her tied up outside until they could find the owners. My wife drove by 3 times and I walked by once without seeing her.

Yes, Marie, I understand. A frustrating day.

I just found this thread. I sure miss having a cat and will have to love on others cats. My son has a beautiful White Angora (I think) Coco Puff. She is his Velcro cat. Won't leave his side or lap when he is home. Especially after he worked out of town for a few days. Here she is helping him with his reports this morning.
