Mr Manx…name having no tail, came to me outta nowhere finding me out in the garden everyday one year and was someone’s lost pet.
After a while one day he just disappeared. He was a good guard kitty. Was in a fight with a raccoon after a 1400 dollar vet bill he healed ok. But never could get his mojo back to jump and almost fly through the trees . He was a great hunter and the squirrels disappeared on his watch. He was a luver boy and was the master of the garden.
Miss him…
Dog(only) people act like dogs never abandon you. We had one that was Always running off. Finally, he was 1/2 that went to a shelter. The OTHER dog was a gorgeous black and cream GS that somebody had fudged up at 6 months old, and he was attacking my cats and even my favorite horse, IN HIS STALL!!
Anyway, some cats just cannot dig deep into the normal cats want a home gene. You cannot help them.
We have one, a pitiful female cat, healthy, not really pretty, diluted calico, dirty grey--"BedCat, aka Smudgekins is also diluted calico but she is blueish grey--AND she is cross eyed.
"SmudgePot" hunts, I see her eating mice and other prey, comes in to eat dry food, but often only stays a few hours at a time. You can't hold the door for her. She will cry at you and you could be holding the door for 15 minutes at a time and she won't come in.
There are many places in the house that she could hang out and snuggle in when it's cold, but she acts as if we are all thinking about beating her up and eating her!
Can't figure this cat out.
Your boy had that same bad gene, the one that says, "Don't tell ME what to do!!"
