American has been found

A gentleman alerted his next door neighbour, because Amori had hurt his eye.

The rspca picked him up from this lovely lady's home (I'd spoken to her about this cat and showed her his pictures) so the Rspca took him in for treatment.

They refused to help me, hence he got into trouble after a postman had pushed open my front door and he escaped while I was treating him.

He also has a heart murmur so he's currently on medication and has been put up for adoption in a different area

The Fighting Illini (AMERICAN football team) beat South Carolina to win the Citrus Bowl on December 31st. Lynx has jumped on the bandwagon to become an Illini fan. (Note the Illini fleece lap blanket.)

i confessed today to maybe feeding the cat(s). i had some leftover chicken bones/skin/fatty bits/etc that i really would have wanted to bury in the garden someplace but with the ground being frozen i decided to try an experiment to see what happened.

i took those leftovers and put them out where i normally would put trapped mice (for the crows, but pretty much whoever gets there first can have whatever it is).

i checked yesterday morning. every last bit was gone. no sign at all that anything had been left there. so less than two days it was snarfed up (that is a good phrase for what likely happened :) - if i was smart i would have had a scarf on myself).

Mom did not get mad at me. i was surprised. it won't happen very regular so i hope the critter doesn't think that it's going to be a habit, but at least they got a bit of food during a really cold spell and it did not go to waste (out via the trash to a landfill).

Oliver has finally taken to his little kennel. It took him weeks to except it. I upset him again by dropping the blinds on the door. But he went in last night. This morning he almost had a heart attack as I took him his warm breakfast in bed to him.

He was so deeply asleep and didn't here me opening the door. He must feel really comfortable in there now with a pile of straw and cardboard lining. ❤️
