Tiny Pears

Due to lack of rain and / or Japanese beetle this years pears are tiny.

I prefer small size fruit. A large apple is too much for me to eat so those pears are perfect! A couple of years ago, a small local produce store had mini avocados 4/$1. They were a perfect size for one person. Sadly I haven't seen them since.

Hey, I learned something about the avocado!

The Spanish gave it that name perhaps because the original was considered rude. I won't repeat it and it just might be the case that the Indian was being rude to the Spanish, in his own language. There are other examples .

Anyway, avocado (Sp) = advocate (En)
