When I first started researching flea beetles, I learned that they were not even considered a serious pest in some parts of the country.
The radish and some others in that family can be killed by flea beetles here. Killed, or the next best thing to it . . . My tomatoes don't have much trouble with them, only some years.
The damage they cause has been described as leaves that look like they have been hit with birdshot! That's about right - tiny holes or pits.
