Yep, had to register, but I am so glad I did. Your photos are *amazing*, like something out of a travel brochure or Nat. Geographic. That endless blue sky...wow. I really hope I get to go someday! How far did you have to travel?

You can always post non-gardening stuff on here, by the way. There is a Me, My Garden, My family section. I use it pretty often. :D

Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures, Heather. They are breathtaking!

Heather,
Thank You so much for posting your vacation album. We have not been on a vacation for several years. (They are few and far between.) We visited Yellowstone (Very quickly. one day!) Many years ago. It was wonderful seeing it again. I LOVE your camper. Right now we have a pop-up in need of major repairs, then I hope to trade it in or sell it and buy a pull behind.
The BIG bird, I do not think was an inmature Bald Eagle, more likely a Golden Eagle Look here: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/golden_eagle/id

Thanks all! Here's my recipe for getting good pictures in yellowstone: point and shoot! Its really that easy when its so beautiful everywhere.

The cool thing about the moose that you couldnt really see in the pics was they were rubbing the velvet off their antlers, and you could see where some of it was partially scraped off. As far as the eagle, i definitely went back and forth with it between immature bald and golden. Its location was such that it could be either, its coloring was overall so dark that it was confusing to me as well. None of the mottly white of the baby balds, and no ( or not visible) browns or goldens of the goldens! It was dang big tho :)

Our drive to get from home to just outside yellowstone the first day was 9 or 10 hours, not bad. We travelled 1400 miles in the 8 days of our trip! Our camper is now undergoing a major rebuild, just what i needed, another project!
