Transplant?

Oh! I didn't take out the entire plant... I just kind of took my spade shovel and "cut" it right on the other side of where I wanted the border and pulled the rest of the tubers out and transplanted them. I'll have to take a picture of the area where they were and post it.

Iris are amazingly tough. Last summer when we moved, I dug them along with other things from our old house. All the plants suffered horribly, I neglected them in pots for months and months and barely remembered to water them. Eventually, right before the ground froze we got a garden bed made and I threw them in the ground. Yesterday, I got around to mulching this bed...the only things to survive seem to be my IRIS (barely) and the un-killable yucca.
