Hattie the Hen
Deeply Rooted

I have the deep red one which I share with my chickens who love the fruit..!! I put them, along with a mixture of other soft fruit, in "Summer Pudding", an old-fashioned English dessert which is very tasty & easy to make. I make my grandmother's variation with thinly sliced sponge or pound cake which I think is even more delicious than the traditional sliced white bread.
Here is the trad. version

***** Remember these are Brit. measurments *****
My mulberry is only just coming into leaf & flower due to the very cold & long winter. Spring is nearly 6 weeks late here.........
