Sorry about not coming back after only one post, was trying to get caught up clearing a larger garden spot.
This plant threw me a curve because I thought all elephant ears grew from tubers. I had never heard of one that spread by runners.
I got these from a friend's house. Was asked "Do you want some Elephant ears?" and before I could answer she had already pulled them up.
I pitched them by the garlic patch meaning to find a place to plant them. Things came up, I forgot about them, and that's where they took root. With all the wet weather they became invasive this year. Three plants turned into at least 25. I hope I got them all transplanted out of the garlic.
