A couple of weeks ago I was talking with a friend who has lost several chickens to predators. She said that with coyote and bear sighting getting more and more common in our area, she and her husband never leave the house after dark without a weapon. I jokingly told her that the best I can afford is a big stick but that I felt like it was a really good idea.
Got this pict with an a tracking number in an email saying Merry Christmas!

We picked it up this weekend.
NOW I just need to get some instruction and range time.

Nice friends!
Get range time in for sure, and practice often until you are so familiar with it, and accurate, that when the adrenaline is pumping you can use it without a hiccup.

I agree, get comfortable using it. Until you do it is probably more a danger to you and yours than it is likely to help you.
