Update on human hair...

I certainly did not wash it!!!! I was kind of freaked out about it, as it was! I put the hair all around the outside perimeter of the garden fence. It is no where near the actual plants.
:gig Sorry! I found your reply so funny! :lau Maybe it's the glass of wine I'm having! :P

If it was from a hair salon there is a good chance it was washed, cut and then products applied. So the hair on the floor is relatively clean.
Good point, but I suspect some people opt not to get their hair washed first, and if spray is applied after the cut, a fair % will end up on the floor with the hair.

Absolutely! The woodchuck that lives on my back 40, had two little woodchuck babies. They were all having a blast digging under the fence and getting into my pumpkin garden. They had not damaged anything, yet- I have a feeling they were waiting for a nice orange pumpkin!!
In the scheme of things- I'm not one to worry too much about hair spray-I guess I'd rather have hair products on the perimeter of my garden- then woodchuck pee on my pumpkins!!;)

I would have been a lot less grossed out if it was my hair, hoodat!! I'm guessing it will lose its effectiveness as time goes on... I am afraid to tell my friend I want more hair- he'll show up with a truckload!!

If you hesitate over chemicals that might be in the hair look around for an old fashioned barber shop instead of a beauty parlor or hair stylist. There are still some around in most parts of the country, mostly run by old men.

Lesa..it sounds alittle creepy and gross to me! I don't dare tell my husband this story. He already thinks it's weird that I have "invisible friends" (as he calls you guys). But I'm glad that it is working for you. I assume it doesn't matter if your blond or brunette? :lau

Actually, the hair did come from a barber shop. Most of it is shades of gray!!
