Can we get some recent photos hoodat?
I planned on getting some pics to post with this but when I grabbed my camera the battery was pooped out. I'm recharging now so I should have some tomorrow.

This is what the tomato looks like today. Still doing nicely. That trellis crossbar in the picture is at 4 feet. The trellis itself is 8 feet high and it looks as though I will need all of it.

Wow! And wasn't it a bit cold hardy, too? What is your temperature like these days? Is it warm enough to set fruit?
It first showed up in late Fall when the daytime temps were running in the 50s to 60s. The early germination is a trait I'll try to keep if the fruit is decent. Temps right now are in the high 60s to low 70s and nights are starting to reach the 50s so I should start seeing fruit soon. I suppose I could hit it with BlossomSet but I want to see what it will do on its' own.

That is a healthy looking Brandywine! Sure for certain it is not half Early Girl?

No Early Girl or Early Boy poillen. The only tomatos I had last year were Brandywine, Mortgage Lifter and on Purple Cherokee. My next door neighbors don't garden.

Wellp, the purple cherokee and mortgage lifters are regular leaf.

Chances are you have a healthy looking strain of Brandywine starting.

Volunteer tomatoes can pop up after several years in the ground...
