That's true, but I will point out that those are ROASTED peanuts i.e. non viable. Outside of health freaks and Asians (who like to stir fry them) comparatively few people eat peanuts raw, let alone raw and unshelled (peanuts are really fragile, to the point where standard planting procedure is to only shell them at the time when you plant them and that's only to keep the multiple seeds in the pod from all germinating at the same time.)
Also peanuts tend to bear their flowers pretty close to the ground (remember the developing pod has to bury itself.) In short the flower and leaves may look a bit LIKE a peanut but the flowers position means it probably can't BE one.
Speaking of peanuts, I found some truly outstanding looking raw ones at the Indian grocery store in Nanuet. Look almost like the Carolina Giant peanuts I tried a few years ago (to put it in context imagine a real peanut about the size of those orange circus peanut marshmallows.)
