You've probably already read it but Will Allen's work http://www.growingpower.org/index.htm blew me away. He's a big proponent of the benefits (fertilizer) to his plants http://www.growingpower.org/aquaponics.htm .

Actually one of his links gives information about the aquaponics system and is informative too but the other link is just not of any use. so we can not analyse how much does he know about the system.
