How am I supposed to start my seeds!? they dont have anything except a jiffy mini greenhouse and I dont like those...

Just get some flats or containers or leftover cellpaks or small pots from last year. If you don't have any, ask friends and relatives who garden, or post a note on the church bulletin board or something like that. Yogurt containers (the small ones) work especially well, once a couple drainage holes are poked in the bottom.

Or make newspaper pots. There are directions all over the web, all you need is a small can (like tomato-paste size) and some newspaper.

Buy a sack of seed-starting medium, which your Walmart almost certainly DOES have, and there ya go :)

Try toilet paper rolls cut in half stuffed with seed starter. Always works for me. And for some reason I always have tp rolls.

Great tip, melodylee! ... and WELCOME to TEG!! ..:frow

I reuse my cell packs and flats ... kind of a pain to wash them and store them, but good to recycle if you can...

 Even though we go through only 1 roll/week at home, and 1 roll/every 3 weeks at DH's office, we had loads of 'em, too. These are THE BEST pots I've ever used!! I love how you can rip apart the paper when it's time to plant MUCH EASIER than with peat. No guilt, too!
I've used paper towel rolls, too--I cut 3/roll, and they're about the same size as a tp roll.
