Wow.. glad it was ONLY a few mailboxes. Black Ice is a terror of mine. Have TOTALED a couple of vehicles on it - and I am a VERY careful driver. It's just that, careful or not, suddenly your vehicle is no longer in your control and there is nothing you can do about it but hang on and wait for the tires to grab enough to steer again or for it to stop moving.

Thought this was going to be a joke at first. Where was the son? If not injured, he should have been the one knocking on your door, not the dad. Dad should have been waiting in the car making sure job was done and done right... (Yes, very lucky he didn't hit the utility pole!)

That would have been my parents plus the replacement money from me.

I was thinking the same thing. At the least, son should have been with the dad knocking on the door.

both were put up yesterday afternoon...they are made out of plastic not the cheap ones either....asked for metal but heck it was replaced.
it's a mailbox.......... photos tomorrow after work....
