What @thistlebloom said! It was 86°f yesterday afternoon here. After frost in one garden on Friday, we have this benign weather showing up :). Just now, I've been out in a calm, mid-50's predawn.

Now, I feel a little guilty ...

Widespread rainstorms today in the US! Weather Service forecast discussion: (link). Even California will be under the rain clouds soon.

It has been a cool wet summer. Not a typical summer for us! cooler than normal for sure! I'm sure not looking forward to winter. It can be a nasty winter or a mild winter like a few years ago.

@thistlebloom yes I have a birthday coming up! one week from today!!!! :D My best friend's birthday is tomorrow and we usually have a cook out to celebrate together. :D Time for some home made apple crisp!

Yesterday's weather -- PERFECT! Today's weather -- PERFECT! Tomorrow's weather -- PERFECT!

After a week of rain (Yeah! I had just seeded a new lawn area), the grass is growing very well with the cooler nights and brisk fall days providing perfect weather for a new planting.

This entire year has been cooler than normal for us at home. Everyone is saying this winter is going to be bad. I've had to drive through more snow/ice storms in the last 3 years than I care to remember.

My situation here is similar to freehardwoods (just noticed that you're also on HG, at least I think you are!) minus the driving part. Nights are getting cold, light frost in the morning, with daytime temps getting into the 50's and 60's.

I'm hoping that the Big Ag farmers will keep the corn up for a little while longer in the giant cornfield adjacent to our land to provide some sort of windbreak.
