Probably 8 - 10 mph rather than 80 - 100. Zeros don't mean anything.

A common mistake in my checkbook early in our marriage. I tried to explain that zeros don't mean anything, but adding $300 instead of subtracting $300 doesn't zero out. I goofed up big time with a $600 error. And still, here I am 45 years later.

Looks like a BIG storm on that map! Thunder and Lightning?!

You would know about hurricanes better than me, Coco25. I feel a little weather-beaten today after such nice weather yesterday.

I spent a couple hours in the big veggie garden this afternoon; didn't want to stay longer. The nearest information the Weather Service has for the location says that the high was 60ºf with wind gusts to 24mph. I wore an extra shirt but it was not enough.

No hurricanes ... at least.

Yep, that thick red line is getting closer!
Lots of thunder & lightning & wind!

Ugh 24mph, I don't like doing yard work if it's too windy, but I guess sometimes you have to. And for you at that temp with that much wind definitely must've been a little chilly!
Keeping my fingers crossed that we have a quiet hurricane season!!
I HATE EVACUATING!!!

@digitS' It passed pretty quickly, so that was good!
It looked like a constant strobe light was on, there was so much lightning! All good though
Lots of branches in the yard to pick up..
A couple big flower pots knocked over
Everything in garden looks good though!!!
It's a humid day @ 89 degrees so I think I'm staying in the shade & letting everything dry up a little before the work begins..hahaha
So not looking forward to summer!!!

I don't like to work outside in the wind, either. My hair flapping in my face drives me nuts. Pinning it back only works for a while. Maybe if I shave my head...
I agree with @digitS'.... A good hat does wonders..
Although I am partial to hats....I probably have close to 100...
Sun hats, baseball caps, dressy hats, winter hats...so many hats!
