I was just taking a shot in the dark before pics were posted. Now that a pic is posted, I am not *sure* it is bittercress. Some scale would be helpful in the photo and what it looks like at ground level. At any rate, we all love a good "mystery plant". Keeps us out of mischief. :)

Now that I see those pics I'd say yes. Bittercress for sure. It tends to reproduce like crazy but it isn't hard to pull after a rain or good watering.

Could be scarlet pimpernel or some type of chickweed. Hard to say for sure without blooms or "hands on" examination. You're good, thistlebloom! :)
