A bit of rain would be welcomed here. Last week was heavenly, we broke two records, 66° and 70°, all the snow was gone in two days. We didn't have all that much, but a two day melt just does not happen here... puddles are gone, the pond is thawing. But the lack of rain has us in a high fire risk already and very little chance of precip in the ten day forecast.

Last year I wished for rain and then it rained for 2 months straight... maybe I should just shut up. :hide

Right now I would Not welcome the rain. I hope those who need it get my share until we fill in around the foundation where the Geo-guy dug it out. Right now, with frost still in the ground there, it is too muddy to work.

Today DH raked fall leaves off the Hosta bed and I toted them away. He is happy and tired -- a good way for him to feel. Hopefully we will have plenty of spring weather for him to get out and work. With all our other problems, he's had the worst case of SAD this winter when he couldn't get outside and work his muscles that I can remember in our 44 years together.

That was enough rain to let me get my ground broken, I am about half done with cutting in a new garden on my new property, anybody wanna come over and help clear the trash weeds before tilling?
If you were close enough, I think I could spare my spouse for a few days. He needs to get out and work. Clearing the field, gully, and woodland around here has been his Holy Grail and working outside keeps him happy.

Welcome to TEG, @XtreemLee. I hope you find a gardening home here with all the neat people here.
