Started the day with a piece of toast and water. Went to town to work redoing a bathroom that we tore out Wednesday. "All" that was left to do was put down the vinyl flooring, hang the wall board, set the toilet, and install the vanity/sink.

I helped son and did a lot of go-fer this and go-fer that. At 2:00 son had me pick up something to eat during another go-fer run. I got his, but thought we'd be done soon and I could eat with DH.

3:30 and we still weren't finished. I had to get the grands to the dentist so without a chance to let DH know, I drove North. It was after 5:30 when we left the Dentist's office, 6:30 before we got home. By that time I was ravenous! It's a long time since a piece of toast and a long time since that drink of water.

I figure that since I didn't have lunch, morning lasted until 6:30 ish tonight. Quite a day!

today's inspection went smooth, got there at 6;30am opened the drain valves after that we took her apart from top to bottom give her a good vacuuming and flushing very little crap come out<that's really good for the age it is>9am shape the inspector arrives my helper was just finishing up installing the re-certified safety relief valves,<he commented that we are only a few that do this> he goes over the boiler top to bottom, off we go to do the other inspections got back he filled out the paperwork.....all good for another year.. he did recommend that the mcdonald miller 150 valves should be replaced in the next couple years <2nd photo>..... we will do an external inspection on the boiler sometime in february....

my boiler chemical person shows up only a hour late....oh well look inside the manhole and handhole accesses the only he recommends it adjusting the 631 additive from 3qts to a gallon. just a wee bit of scale on the fire tubes....

funny how it takes hours to break her down and the boiler inspection itself only takes 30 mins, then another couple hours to put her back together an another hour or so to make sure all the gaskets seal correctly under pressure. usually the hand hole access gaskets leak. not this time sealed right up..

Your lucky you have advance notice of inspection, I get surprise inspections, they show up anytime !!!
i make the time and date for the inspection since i go through our insurance company and not the state... the only time the state labor inspector come by was 5 years ago and only got us for was a missing knockout not covered on a electrical box and my drill press was not bolted down.....
