Sitting on my lap to sleep
Finding the awesomest sunspot to sleep in
going outside on pop's shoulder
studying birds through the windows

telling pop if there is someone outside

keeping the bed warm instead of electric blankets during winter
taste testing the meow mix
slow motion wrassling
ipsofacto time when who knows why they are nutsofacto
advising pop on things of wisdom
communicating with the spirit world
testing pop's skin with teeth to make sure it has not gotten thin
digging into the bag of kitty litter to see what kind of mess can be made

Clevland says for me to think of more things but I can't right now

DD takes dog for runs-not unusual. Then lets him swim in creek to cool off-again not unusual. Then they go for ride on Polaris Ranger to cool off or go uptown to get iced cream at corner shop. He gets his own cup-too slow eating cone. :D

Neither me or her mom are invited to go. Funny watching her drive with 90# dog sitting right beside her sitting as proud as can be. When I use Polaris, I make him run-except to cross bridge. He knows drill.

I sometimes take a CX to a BBQ. Does that count??
Only if you bring the CX home after the BBQ to share its adventure with the others.

Right now the chickens are jumping for cherries in the orchard instead of waiting for them to fall. Since they are free range, I presume they are entertaining themselves - although I do have a chicken ball that I stuff with goodies once in a while.

My chocolate lab is pretty much a floor potato (she dare not get on a couch) that seldom is further away from me than a nose behind the knee. When I go out to work she finds a nearby shady spot to watch. For fun she prefers car rides, going on play dates with the neighbor's dog, and (now that the neighbor has cleaned out her pond) Cee Cee really enjoys swimming.

The most I do for (not my) outside cat, other than feed and water, is let her inside on the bed for a petting session now and then. She gets to curl up and rest with us at night until she gets into our faces. Then it's back outside for her!

For the horse: apples floating in the water trough. She has always been SUPER polite and never, never takes a treat whole - always takes bites out of it. So when there are apples floating, she has to push them all the way to the bottom to get a grip for a bite. Blowing bubbles all the way of course! SO funny!
For the chickens: In the winter I'll buy a cabbage and hang it from a tree branch. It's teather ball all day long. In the summer I'll freeze ears of corn for a cool treat. Also, they are facinated by donought holes with sprinkles. Not real fond of the donought itself but will play soccer with them getting all the sprinkles off.
For the dogs: I take small dishes - about the size if a butter dish - and freeze broken up Beggin Strips inside. They're too big for them to get a good bite on so they have to gnaw a while to get the treat. I tried a big bucket once but they just laid there and watched it melt till they could lick the treats loose....

I save watermelon and cantaloupe rinds for my chickens. I freeze them if I have too many, and give them to the girls on particularly hot days.
