Well I am not saying it will, but that is what I am going to try next year, I am also going to try and vacuum them into my shop vac.
If the DE works like I have read then I will place some in my vac and suck those bugs off the vine and let the DE do it's thing on them.
My vac is pretty small so I can move it around easy.
What do you think, will it work or not ?

Don - i'm not sure about putting DE in the shop vac - ours blows a lot of dust right thru it, and you're supposed to be careful not to inhale DE. Maybe suck them into the shop vac, then add boiling water...squash bug tea anyone??

Some shop vacs are wet/dry, if yours is just put water in it and drown the suckers!
