Dandelion root tea - no, I didn't toast and use it for a coffee addition or substitute, as in the past. It's just peeled and chopped roots and boiled water. (Of course, they weren't quite from the garden but part of the field where the tractor guy parks.)
Tasteless! What a different from its flavor when I have chopped and heated it until it's just smoking in a castiron pan. By the way, Hoodat said that I really should put the dandelion root in the oven if'n I intend to use it as a chicory substitute in coffee. Maybe I'll get to that sometime but I really no longer have the super large plants that used to be available to me at another garden.
Chicory? No plans to grow that again to lower my caffeine intake. I know, I really should be taking better care of myself!
