What kind of advice are you looking for? Sound like you are doing OK.

Do you know what variety those seeds were? Some varieties make turnips and greens. Some just make greens.
I planted both, and I even KNOW where they both are!!
I know it's late, but I have covered these beds 3x in the last week bc of frost/freeze.
I will be putting up my wood borders this week and cover both beds as often as necessary until I can harvest.

TONIGHT, last stuffed pepper meal with my ginormous red sweet peppers!!!
:weee:weee:weee
And...:hit:hit:hit
By the weekend I am dehydrating all that is left.
Dunno what to do with the rest of the banana peppers/jalepanos.
I mean, I DO want to dehydrate the jalepanos, especially since nobody wants the red ones with brown dried veins, but they will dry out nicely to be used to cook chili.
Any suggestions?

We made jalapeno poppers, stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon. I "blanched" them by baking for 15 minutes at 350*, let them cool, then vacuum sealed and froze them.

if they are fleshy enough to roast then when they are done you can pack them in jars or bags to freeze. they get very sweet when roasted. if you know the heat is too much you can freeze them in smaller portions where you know that it will be enough for chili or whatever.

Oh, that doesn't sound slow to me, @Trish Stretton !

I'm trying to think ...

One month after your spring equinox? Oh, that environment must be like Florida. Maybe chilly at times? Maybe Orlando, you know - Disney World ;)?

I don't remember ever eating leeks from my garden early in the season. They might be tender at that stage.
